2011, February 12 - Time to move on...

Ah, it feels weird to post that last update straight from the database interface! Yes, that's how this site is conceived: hand-coded thus minimalist and fully XHTML compliant, but a little tedious to maintain ;). I even have to enter special characters using their HTML entity code, like ' for the single quote.
So, it's been almost 3 years since the last update. Three years during which I've been active, but not in this very place. On the notepad, on Wiki4Games, etc. At some point the site even got moved to a dedicated server. Well, this is happening again, the site is moving to another server and I thought that'd be the occasion to finally close it. Don't get me wrong though, the site is not vanishing, simply it remains as an archive and registrations and login are disabled. If you want to get your account deleted you can still reach me at the notepad or at Wiki4Games, or even do a whois and annoy me in my e-mail box ;).

And, the final words on MPAM(4) Rebooted will be a migration progress-o-meter: this is the new server!

2008, April 26 - IM Status - a MediaWiki extension View

Today we released our first MediaWiki extension. IM Status was written for the ZenGamers wiki, because we wanted to allow users to show their online status in various IM programs on their userpages, but there was no extension that would support all protocols: it was one IM program for one extension. IM Status fixes this extension lack, by providing integration for 6 IM programs, with (hopefully) more coming soon.

The method is simply to edit some registry keys, as obvious from the first method (reg file)... and also from the second one (quite basic VB script).
